Jams.
Our jams and jellies are produced by traditional methods, with fruits and vegetables from our production, without adding any flavorings, coloring or preserves. An extremely careful preparation guarantees flavor and good preservation.
The sheep breed "Campaniça" has its origin in the
south of Alentejo (the province that borders the
north of the Algarve) and is characterized by
small animals but extremely adapted to the
difficult conditions of the region. Its wool is
recognized for its hydrophobic properties and the
comfort it conveys. Quinta do Freixo began to
breed "Campaniça" sheep in 1990, when it was on
the verge of extinction. Nowadays, the flock has
more than 1000 sheep, grown in organic
production mode.

"Do not force nature.", Is our principle. In addition to certification in organic production, all techniques that aim to increase production, such as irrigation and soil fertilization, are reduced to a minimum, in order to obtain a product with an intense aroma, as close as possible to what happens when plants are in wild state.
Fig is the fruit that was at the origin of the company for over 100 years. With it we produce, in organic production mode:
Fig Cheese, a product with exquisite taste and that represents the best that the traditional sweets of the Algarve offers.
Fig "Firewater", distilled in a traditional still, with high quality fruit.
Dried Figs, without forcing, preserving the intense flavor and soft texture.
